I'm watching Modern Family for the first time... and I'd like to review it. Third Season Part 1

Life has been busy for me lately. New things have happened, so I hadn't had time to write anything else.  S3E01 Dude Ranch The families vacation at Lost Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The family is heading to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.Just like it says above. Plus Dylan. Phil is busy trying to prove himself as a man, especially to Jay. Meanwhile Jay is busy because the cowboy Hank (Tim Blake Nelson) is flirting with Gloria, but she is oblivious to it.  Claire is annoyed because Dylan is there. She freaks out when Dylan tries to propose to Haley. Mitch is trying to learn manly stuff because he wants to be able to do father and son things, like what his dad used to do with Claire. He reassures himself after some help from Luke.  Alex meets a teenage boy named Jimmy (Matthew Gumley) at the ranch who becomes her first kiss.  Rating: 7/10 Thoughts: I see Lily's actress has changed. Halloween 2025 - Southeast Asian Horror Movies

Now it's time for Southeast Asian Horror Movies! Ahh, Southeast Asia, the region where one of the favorite pasttimes is sharing horror stories and a shared fear of smelling jasmine at night out of nowhere. SEAbling energy is to the max, where no one else can bully them but themselves.  These ones are pretty recent so I'm not gonna go into too much detail about the plot. It's Halloween Season 2025! Which means... HORROR MOVIE MARATHON!

Disclaimer: I wrote this in November but I only got to finish it by December. Not Halloween anymore but oh well.  It's Halloween Season 2025! I like Halloween. It's not a huge deal where I live, compared to the US. We do like to scare ourselves during this time though. Our local TV shows horror movies, programs telling ghost stories.  So I thought... Horror Movie Marathon! This part will be covering recent horror movies, so if you see a title you want to watch and don't want to be spoiled, click away.

I'm watching Modern Family for the first time... and I'd like to review it. Second Season Part 2

 I'm watching Modern Family for the first time.  We're in the second half of the second season. I don't know, I prefer this season compared to Season 1 except for the Hawaii episode.   S2E13 Caught in the Act Gloria and Jay are heading to Vegas, but first, Gloria is trying to send an email to Claire. Jay offers to help to make a polite email but types everything Gloria said, such as Claire is a bossy control freak and her lemon squares are very dry. And... the email is sent. A hot new restaurant opened two blocks away, and the owner Amelia (Rachael Harris) is one of the mothers in Lily's preschool. Mitch and Cam try to impress her so they can get in anytime they want.  It's Claire and Phil's wedding anniversary. The Dunphy kids try to surprise them with breakfast in bed... and sees them having sex. Yikes.  Gloria tries to keep Claire from seeing the rude email and tries to explain herself (and unknowingly gives Phil a heart attack, not literally, ...

I'm watching Modern Family for the first time... and I'd like to review it. Second Season Part 1

 I'm watching Modern Family for the first time.  We're in the second season. So far, I can keep on watching it.  S2E1 The Old Wagon Claire wants to sell their old station wagon, but she finds it hard when she remembers the memories associated with the car. The Dunphy family decides to create one last memory with the car, a trip down memory lane. Mitch and Cam plan to build a princess castle for Lily. The thing is, Mitch is lethal with a tool. Jay and Cam try to distract Mitchell with something else. Gloria is having a hard time with Manny getting close to a classmate. Rating: 7/10 Thoughts: I'm starting to find Gloria's relationship with Manny a tad inappropriate. It's comedy, I get it, but dang. Is it me or does Jay have a better relationship with Cam than his own son? Also Jay's PTSD face is funny.

I'm watching Modern Family for the first time... and I'd like to review it. First Season Part 2

 So, we're watching Modern Family and I'm halfway through Season 1.  S1E13 Fifteen Percent Jay still has trouble with his son being gay and introduces Cameron to his friends as a 'friend of his son'. To get back at his father, Mitch tells Jay that his friend Shorty (Chazz Palminteri) is gay. (He's not.) Manny is preparing to meet a friend he met online... only for her to be an adult woman.  Claire is having trouble with the technology stuff in their house. So to prove that it's not that hard, Phil teaches Haley how to use the home theater system. Rating: 7/10 Thoughts: Sweet Dylan. The smart (perverted) was not to say anything to Claire. Anyone else would have just let Claire keep walking around in underwear.  This Whitney girl basically falling for a kid... then later for a gay man. Awww.  To me, Jay is trying. Like Mitch said, his dad is growing... but not too much. Do I agree with the fifteen percent? Not really.

I'm watching Modern Family for the first time... and I'd like to review it. First Season Part 1

Okay. Hear me out.  I didn't watch a lot of TV growing up. I was waaay too busy studying. So now, since I have a lot of free time, why not catch up on everything that I missed? And I mean everything... So here we go. I decided my first project will be Modern Family, which ran from 2009-2020. I've seen a few clips on it on social media. I have an idea about the main characters and well, their characters, so I'm not exactly going in blind. But I'd still like to do write about it because I have no idea what to do with my life after spending a third of my life studying. So here we go... if you haven't watched the show yet, watch it along with me. And... NO SPOILERS PLEASE. If I wanted to spoil myself, I'd google the show. Now my general rule for sitcoms is it's mostly crappy people being funny. There are a lot of crappy stuff shown in sitcoms and we're supposed to find it funny, so we're not supposed to take it too seriously.  I'm going to have remem...
